Just had the best food at Samila Gaeng. The flavours, freshness, were next level. So lucky to have been here before the word gets out too much. I think this place will be super busy very soon. If you like authentic Asian flavours in a no fuss environment with friendly and efficient service, you won’t be disappointed. It was the food and taste experience I dream of and made me so happy!

Reminded me of being back in Thailand more than any Thai food since I’ve come home.Best find in ages!
Absolutely Beautiful Thai Food. This is my new favourite restaurant. Casual, light and good music. Staff were fantastic. It was like going out used to be. 5 Stars.
So delicious! Hands down to one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to. The food is authentic and bursting with flavor—truly a taste of Thailand I love everything about this place, from the warm ambiance to the exceptional service. It's a small business, but they deliver big on quality. They absolutely deserve 5 stars. Highly recommend!
Randomly stumbled upon this place today, and so glad we did. All the dishes were authentic and delicious. The pork belly crackling was perfectly crisp without being oily. A couple of the dishes came with an extra papaya/cucumber/red onion pickle which paired perfectly with the rich flavours of the main dishes. Also absolutely loved the decor of the place. Don’t really see many places on the coast with this modern indie look. Really love what they’ve done. They also stock a few Thai staples which are hard to find elsewhere like thai tea mix and shrimp paste. All in all a great spot, and will be back soon!
Well, I feel like I've just walked into a Thai street cafe in Northern Thailand! What a fabulous find and well worth the day trip from Brisbane just to see and taste the real Thailand without getting on a plane. Traditional Miang of assorted flavours, self wrapped in generous betel leaves. A prawn dumpling with a wafer thin wrapper that tastes like the ocean alomgside a cricpsy rice and fermented pork salad was a textural wonder. Next up, grilled pork neck with the most delicious, dark dipping sauce alongside a fresh and zesty pomelo salad. Along next came a spectacular duck larb, so rich and spicy but calmed by fresh snake beans and cabbage slices. Krapow of crispy pork belly was umami-tastic, and we finished the savoury with the house, especially the Kao Soi coconut soup with beef cheeks, stunning in its authenticity. The coconut sorbet to finish, on a base of sticky rice and a crispy wafer on top soothed and freshened the palate. I already can't wait to come back!!
